So excited for Natalie and Logan who will welcome baby Laney in April! It was a pleasure to shoot a few photos for them before Logan is depoloyed to Afghanistan (proudly serving as a U.S. Marine). Natalie is a BEAUTIFUL mom-to-be and I must say she “wears” her bump well. Here are just a few photos from their recent session.
Well – our “Christmas” cards (I typically send New Year’s cards) are still sitting on my work desk. At this point they will either be considered really early 2015 cards or, St. Patrick’s Day cards – if I get them out this week, maybe Valentine’s cards. Uggh! Do you ever get the feeling that there just aren’t enough hours in the day?! I am openly apologizing to our friends and family. I didn’t ignore you this year – I am just terribly behind! Our eldest (Alan) has now reminded me four times that my web-site needs updated. So my first task is to make the New Year’s post, second to update the web-site and FINALLY, third, get the New Year’s Cards in the mail. Yup. I’m extremely behind OR really, really early for the next year. 🙂 Peace and Blessings everyone!
What a ride these past several months have been! Our Weirton Madonna Blue Dons have been training hard since mid summer and their hard word has paid off thus far! Undefeated in the regular season (10-0) cinched them a spot in the playoffs for State Championship. All three playoff games were played on our “home field” and to say this last one was interesting would be an understatement! After playing in blizzard-like conditions last weekend, the field was left covered with ice and snow. Over 75 volunteers showed up at 8am Friday morning to begin the task of clearning the field for the final game which would send the team to the Class A State Championship game. It was a special day. Black Friday shopping? No way. Our beloved Blue Dons hit the field ready to play. Sweet victory was theirs in a 42-28 victory over the Williamstown Yellow Jackets. The State Championship game will be played at Wheeling Island Stadium (we’re headed BACK to the island to finish what we started last year <3) Here are a few photos from last night's game! So far so good! The Weirton Madonna Blue Dons are undefeated and this was an important game for them. The face-off against Wheeling Central Catholic last year was a disappointment for the team – they hit the field with a vengance and proved themselves to be the phenomenal athletes that we have come to love and respect. These boys have HEART. To see all the photos from this exciting game, click here to go to the link.
Weirton’s Madonna Blue Dons had another great night of football! The battle between the two Catholic High Schools began with a prayer and a Hail Mary and the showdown began. Once again Madonna proved to be the stronger team with the final score being Madonna 33 Tusky 6. Click here for the link to all the photos!
